Tournament founders, Bob Candopoulos, owner of Saltwater Safari Company and Keith Manternach, owner of Specialty Truck &
Auto are working closely with the Armed Services YMCA to make this year’s event the largest military appreciation-fishing tournament in Alaska’s history.

Last Year’s two-day event hosted some 65 military who had served our country so bravely in both the Iraq and Afghanistan theaters of war. This year, our goal is to host more than 250 active duty or currently serving combat returnees in a one-day event, which will include most of the Seward sport fishing charter fleets’ participation. Currently, more than 300 seats on approximately 35 Seward charter vessels have been donated to the event!

This years Grand Prize will be a brand new pickup truck to be awarded to the military member who catches the largest fish!
Our goal once again is to bring together the Alaska business community and the sport fishing charter industry to show the
members of our armed services how much we appreciate all which they sacrifice for our country.
